Farmers, growers have been using BRIX meters for the past 80 years to improve their soil by monitoring the quality of their output - produce, cereals, grasses, etc,
Consumers have been using spectro's to scan (2-3 secs), without touching, and compare for the most delicious, nutritious produce before they have to pay for them.
At any temperature. BRIX meters / NutriMeter I (Ni)s refractometers have ATC (Automatic Temperature Control) to adjust measures, readings and ratings to 20 degrees C, the BRIX standard.
Spectro's - With our Nutrimeter X (Nx), this is to be tested, comparing the same produce at 0 and 40 degrees C.
The focus of our testing since 2023 has been to ensure that our digital output (NDI = Nutreint density Indicator) is consistent in comparing the relative nutrient densities measured by refracto's and other spectro's - so far our Nx has been 100% reliable.
We believe that that we can get close to 100% correlation with BRIX measures, providing a Mobile app in the next generation of Nx's to provide BRIX readings and ratings for some 450 varieties of produce available in ANZ.
